fragrant, concentrated, spicy. A fragrant nose of red plums, forest berries, violets and sarsaparilla roll into a fleshy palate with good freshness. It seems to have an abundance of extracted skin tannins, and perhaps more from oak. It has generous fruit and length with a bitter cocoa finish.
Pair: Roasted or grilled meats, hard cheeses, spaghetti Bolognese or hearty mushroom and herb risotto.
