Supple, depth, integrated.
Owned by the Speck brothers, Henry of Pelham is is built on the family farm started in the 1800s. The winery was established in 1984 and is one of the region's pioneers.
Baco Noir, more common in Ontario and New York State, is a dark-skinned winter-hearty North American hybrid variety.
The Pelham version suggests dried cherry and prune, molasses, licorice, dried flowers, vanilla, coffee and concord grape flavours. In the mouth, expect good depth of dark fruit flavours, a supple weight and integrated tannins with coffee flavours on the finish.
