Alan and Amy Dickinson began their winemaking journey in 2010 after purchasing a 5-acre partially planted south-facing property above Okanagan Falls. The existing Riesling was planted and they added more Riesling vines and Pinot Noir. Alan's parents John and Kirsty joined them and they purchased an adjoining property bringing the total estate to 107 acres. They predominantly make Rieslings today with a Pinot Noir and a Cabernet Franc.
The grapes for this wine come from the home property Storm Haven Vineyard, which the Dickinson's call the Heart of their estate.
Expect candied lemon peel and dried apricot aromas layered with green apple and honeysuckle. It's another mouthwatering offering from the winery, with limeade, green apple and crunchy peach flavours. Lovely purity here with a slick weight and lip-smacking finish. The dry version of this wine is 6.2g/L residual sugar, while this one, an off-dry, weighs in a 49.38--but honestly the balance is incredible so don't get caught up in the numbers.
