Alan and Amy Dickinson began their winemaking journey in 2010 after purchasing a 5-acre partially planted south-facing property above Okanagan Falls. The existing Riesling was planted and they added more Riesling vines and Pinot Noir. Alan's parents John and Kirsty joined them and they purchased an adjoining property bringing the total estate to 107 acres. They predominantly make Rieslings today with a Pinot Noir and a Cabernet Franc.
The grapes for this wine come from Ivy's Vineyard, a small-lot terraced hillside situated in the Oliver area, it faces east on the Golden Mile Bench and was established in the 1970s.
It's a sweeter Riesling at 45g/L that is beautifully balanced and offers peach compote, green apples, lime and honeysuckle aromas. It's got lovely purity and a slick weight that glides across the tongue. Oodles of apricot and crunchy honeycrisp apple flavours here, which culminate in a long, mouthwatering and peachy finish.
