WineDiva's Review

Fragrant, classic, silky.
Istine's first vintage was 2009. It is made entirely from Sangiovese; grapes harvested in Radda and Gaiole went through malolactic fermentation and it was then aged in Slovonian oak casks and barrel and some concrete for 12 months.
A harmonious and silky nose delivers purple berries and vanilla, pipe tobacco and exotic spices, chocolate and violets. Chocolate leads the palate followed by espresso, plum and red berries, then tobacco and cedar. Classic earthy finish with chalky tannins.
