The Corbeau Wines winery and vineyards are located east of Mendoza city and are owned by the RodrÃguez Family, now in their third generation of agriculture and winemaking. They have over 874 acres of vineyards that include Las Bayas, Los Alomos, and Has. Their wines are produced with estate grapes from multiple vineyards with different soils, climates, and varieties. The Mad Bird label pays homage to the mysterious Black Raven, a long recognized companion of mankind, but also a symbol of wit, strength and freedom.
Made entirely from Malbec that was aged in barrel for three months and then in bottle for six before release.
Wild purple berries, charred herbs and green olives, black plum, salted licorice, espresso, toasted spice and black chocolate aromas lead to a supple palate. It's a piquant red with small red berry, coffee, chocolate and leather flavours. Savoury with nice fleshiness.
