Woven, frothy, fragrant.
For more than 100 years the Medici family has made quality Lambruscos; today they own 60-hecatres across Emilia in the region of Emilia~Romana.
The flagship Concerto Reggiano is made from the region's Lambrusco Salamino variety and is stained deep purple.
Expect notes of pomegranate, maraschino cherry, rose petals and star anise. It has a creamy mousse and oodles of fresh purple berry flavours; it is singular and charming with excellent concentration and levity.
Second review: April 2022
Purple berries, pomegranate, cedar and dried flowers with faint chocolaty tones, this frothy and juicy inky bubbly is truly singular. Black raspberry, cherry, tealeaf and grape-y flavours dominate the palate. Charming.
Pairs great with Gone Crackers Undressed.
