Racy, slick, pristine.
A rarity in the Okanagan, this 100% Semillon comes from Hester Creek estate's Block 12 on the Golden Mile Bench. The vines were planted in '97/'98 and the wine was fermented in stainless steel and aged on less for four months before bottling.
I applaud the racy nose of honeysuckle and lime, lively orchard fruit aromas, orange blossoms, banana peel and star fruit aromas, which lead to a expressive and off dry palate. Melon, banana, honey and tangerine flavours dominate the palate, it has excellent concentration and a zesty finish.
