Located on the Golden Mile Bench, Culmina was established by the Triggs family (of Jackson-Triggs fame) in 2007 and was sold in 2019 to Arterra Wines Canada.
This 100% estate grown Arise Vineyard Cabernet was matured for 16 months in a combination of new (25%) and 1-2 year old (75%) French oak barrels.
Balsamic soaked prunes, red currents and black raspberry, licorice root, vanilla, molasses, hoisin, Turkish coffee, and dried orange peel aromas lead to a supple palate. Restrained fruit on the palate gives way to more earthy flavours, white pepper, cocoa and cigar. It's a firm red with good underlying power and notable acidity.
