Phenolic, citrus, mineral.
Grown in the Lazy River Vineyard in Cawston (Similkameen Valley GI) this wine went through spontaneous fermentation on skins in stainless steel tanks. The orange-y hue comes from the colourful Pinot Gris skins, but it may not be what you'd expect in this varietal.
It delivers orange pekoe tea and mineral, peach fuzz and cedar with marmalade aromas. It is phenolic and has hints of spice and nuts, with a hint of citrus and tealeaf on the palate as well.
