Succulent, luscious, potent.
While the label says Similkameen Valley, Road 13's website says says all the fruit came from their West Osoyoos Vineyard, which I take to mean it's in Osoyoos, but I'm not sure. However, the fruit was hand-picked and fermented slowly in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness. To finish is was aged in French oak barrels for four months.
It's an outstanding Viognier brimming with honey and peaches, spice and fennel, pineapple chunks and exotic spice, notably ginger. Luscious on the palate it has fleshy stone fruit and citrus peel propped up with ginger flavours. It's silky and slick, potent and persistent.
