Potent, textural, sooty While there's a wide range of wines are made at West Kelowna's Quails' Gate winery, but Pinot Noir is definitely a flagship variety for them.
The 2022 is a potent one; notes of cherry and star anise, a potpourri of cedar chips and dried flowers with grape syrup. It has chew and texture; black cherry toasted spice, bitter cocoa and cigar ash flavours dominate. The tannins are sooty.
Pair: salmon, duck, mushroom wellington, truffle risotto, roasted beets.
Pairs great with Gone Crackers Olive Oil & Cracked Pepper
