Upper Bench, located on seven acres of vineyard on the Naramata Bench, is also a creamery.
The small batch Estate Grown 2018 Chardy comes from that site, is natural yeast fermented and aged in new French oak on lees for eight months.
Golden in colour it suggests butterscotch and roasted brown spices, grilled pineapples, ripe lemons, browned butter and toasted oak. The entry is fresh with bracing lemon flavours layered with toasted oak and coriander. Creamy and leesy, it has notable weight and a zesty finish.
