Fresh, supple, spiced.
Established in 1968 by Joe Busnardo, Hester Creek is located on the Golden Mile Bench sub-GI outside of Oliver.
This new addition, under the estate's Storied Series is only available through Hester Creek's wine club called The Bench Club; 500 cases were made.
The vines for this small lot Merlot came from northern Italy and were planted in '68 in what is now known as Block 13.
Expect notes of spiced plums and vanilla, chocolate, black cherry, star anise, pipe tobacco and violets. It has a supple weight and notable freshness; flavours of peppercorns and brown spices, bittersweet cocoa, espresso and toasted oak linger on the palate.
