Textural, fresh, concentrated.
Dead of Nightis a blend of equal parts Tannat (Madiran's tannic red variety) and Syrah, both from the South Okanagan and it was aged 12 months in French and Hungarian barrels.
Expect cherry and black raspberry aromas woven with sarsaparilla, violets, pepper, cedar and warm chocolate aromas. The bold palate echoes the nose and while textural on the tongue it's fresh. It has a spicy, woody and cocoa tinged finish with grip.
A wine to pair with anything from the BBQ.
