Generous, concentrated, fresh.
Cassini Cellars has always had a good amount of late release wines (at prices that aren't silly), which means, less cellaring for you.
This vintage - a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Cabernet Franc, is concentrated with ripe blackberries and purple fruits, chocolate, vanilla, licorice and pipe tobacco. It is still lifted and fresh but with time has woven together quite nicely. Smoky, spicy, toasty and quite meaty flavours lead to a supple chocolaty finish. Good generosity overall.
