After gently crushing of the Pinot Noir grapes, the juice for this rose is allowed eight hours of skin contact to extract flavour and light pigment; it's then gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks.
Orange blossoms, white peach, Rainer cherries and hints of honey are expressed on the nose. It's a light-bodied and dry pink flavoured with with juicy red berries, a hint of fine spice and the peel of a pink grapefruit. It's a pretty pink, approachable, fresh and crisp and suitable to pair with everything from pizza and cheese platters to grilled fish or veggie burgers.
Second review: October 2021
Pale apricot-hued this fresh Pinot Noir pink suggests orange peel, tangy red berries, honeysuckle, watermelon, wet stone and white peach aromas. It's bone dry with impressive structure (for a pale pink) and is flavoured with tangy berry and orange zest alongside fine spice and burnt tobacco.
A serious year 'round rose made for food.
