Mature, classic, succulent.
Grown on the Golden Mile (albeit not on the sub-GI) Gold Hill estate vineyard, this savoury Syrah was aged in French oak barrels for 18 months prior to bottling. Scorched earth and blackberries, toasted spice and espresso, roasted meat and black pepper aromas lead to a somewhat brooding palate that is earthy and laden with black fruit and a hint of prune. Overall here is a classic Syrah with enviable freshness but with a succulent character.
