Earthy, citrus, oily.
Lakeside Cellars is a new 14-acres on the eastern shore of Lake Osoyoos. It rests on what used to be the Haynes Homestead. Unable to save the existing structure, new owners Harbans and Harkesh Dhaliwal used parts of the historic estate when building their new tasting room in 2016.
This vintage is a blend of nearly equal parts Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. Aromas of Golden Delicious apples and meringue, Bartlett pears and lemon-balm lead to a palate that is oily with distinct earthiness. Flavours of wet stone, wild honey, lemon/lime and yellow fruits mimic the nose.
