Fresh, succulent, woodsy.
Located in Serralunga d'Alba, Giovanni Rosso is a small family owned winery, producing red wines of Nebbiolo (and a small portion of Barbera) since the 1980s. Giovanni's son Davide now makes the wines and has a off-shoot project in Etna, in Sicily.
Expect a nose of strawberry and small forest berries, cedar, leather and cocoa with umami salted meat undertones. A definitive food wine, it has a fresh entry and woodsy flavours of red berries, cedar, tobacco and earth. A wine with good bones that is succulent and juicy.
