Graceful, classic, elegant.
Formerly labelled the Platinum Block 2 Pinot Noir, this new label refers to the Aspect (aka direction and slope of the vineyard) of Block 2, which is planted with vines (clone 115) 30 years old and located on the lower slopes of CedarCreek's Home Vineyard. It was aged 14 months in French oak barrels, 18% new.
Graceful notes of sour cherry and bilberry, dried violets, wet cedar, star anise and beet greens lead to a palate brimming with purity and classic Pinot character. It has a supple weight and silky texture. Bacon fat, forest berries and earthy flavours are layered with fine spice. It has elegance and balance, but is still youthful; I recommend decanting.
