Unique, lemony, earthy.
From some of the oldest Pinot Gris vines in British Columbia, the Blue Grouse version went through secondary fermentation and was partially aged in oak.
It has distinct smoked pears and forest floor/mushroomy aromas, with floral-scented talk and bold lemony notes. It shows good weight and phenolic texture, the fruit is restrained, and it is creamy yet racy, and has a pithy finish. A definitive food wine.
