Modern, plush, generous. The McWatters Meritage (now owned by 5 Vine Cellars) is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon with 35% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc and aged 15 months in French oak.
Chocolate covered cherries, vanilla, baking spices, pipe tobacco, leather and licorice aromas. Modern and plush, balanced with supple tannins it's a bold wine with a generous character.
Pair: Rich cuts of beef in red wine and porcini sauce, hearty stews or aged, firm cheeses.
