WineDiva's Review

Firm, savoury, fresh.
Located on the Golden Mile Bench, Culmina was established by the Triggs family (of Jackson-Triggs fame) in 2007 and was sold in 2019 to Arterra Wines Canada.
This 100% estate grown Arise Vineyard Cabernet was matured for 16 months in a combination of new (25%) and 1-2 year old (75%) French oak barrels.
Expect plum and current aromas woven with pencil shavings and leather, tobacco, brown spices and coffee notes. The palate is firm and spiced with wild black and red fruits and black chocolate. The tannins are firm and sooty.
I'd give this one some more cellar time.
