Stylish, fragrant, pretty.
Hester Creek's new Storied Series pay homage to their aged vines (some of the oldest in the valley) and their history as Golden Mile pioneers.
It is primarily made from from Viognier sourced the Stone's Throw vineyard, owned by long time growers, the Fournier family, in Oliver. Their Stone's Throw Vineyard is ideally situated at an elevation of just over 1000 feet above sea level, adjacent to the Black Sage Bench. The gravelly, sandy loam soil provides excellent root drainage for vines that run north south for superior sun exposure.
Expect pretty aromas of peach, mango and tropical flowers, creamed honey, lemon peel and vague wild mushrooms. The palate is slick and concentrated with nicely balanced acidity. This is not a flabby potent Viognier, it's fresh and zesty and stylish.
