Generous, fragrant, fleshy.
Lunessence launched in 2014 after taking over a property in Summerland and with them they brought a philosophy of biodynamic farming: ergo no pesticides or herbicides. They ideally use only native yeast, no, or minimal fining (only bentonite and time), and very light or no filtration.
Their interpretation of a white Rhone blend (43% Marsanne and Roussane each, plus 14% Viognier) is perfumed with honey and peaches, mango and candle wax, pine, Meyer lemon and exotic spices. Generous stone fruits, waxy citrus and honeyed flavours roll across a concentrated and dynamic palate. It has an voluminous character underscored by balanced acidity.
