The top tier range of Chianti Classico, Gran Selezione first made its appearance less than a decade ago.
This one, with seven years of maturity is nicely woven with secondary aromas and flavours. Ripe cherry and strawberry jam, vanilla and baking spices, rose petals and wet cedar, tealeaf and anise aromas lead to a fresh but restrained palate. Fresh and finely hewn it has flavours of leather, tealeaf and fine spice, which linger on a silky finish.
