Extracted, spicy, muscular.
The little brother to Le Grand Vin is a fairly consistent blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec & Petit Verdot.
Plush and muscular the 2018 doles out aromas of black currents and star anise, cloves and black pepper, grilled plums, sark chocolate and roasting coffee beans. Equally intense, the palate leads with roasted brown spices, dark chocolate, charred oak and finishes with black fruit. It's powerful, inky and extracted, with chalky tannins.
Pair: Grilled or roasted meats, stews, puy lentils with savoury herbs, aged hard cheeses.
Pairs great with Gone Crackers Canadian Chedder & Chive
