Ripe, creamy, power.
Having pioneered a new winemaking region in British Columbia, Fort Berens estate is in Lillooet, in the Fraser Canyon. Wines are made from their own vineyards, but are sometimes blended with Okanagan Valley fruit.
The 2019 is a ripe one, laden with notes of wildflower honey, melon, citrus and creamed pears atop distinct earthy undertones. Dry and pithy, it has stony minerality and notable power in the mouth. A phenolic finish adds texture.
Pair: chicken salad, mushroom dishes and oily fish dishes.
