Fresh,supple, plush.
Cabernet Franc is a Tinhorn Creek flagship grape, they excel with the variety and the 2018 stands tall. Mostly Cab Franc, it has 12% Merlot blended in and the finished wine spent 18 months maturing in French oak.
The nose suggests a warm hug; jammy raspberry, plush chocolate and black currents, vanilla, sage, pipe tobacco and sweet brown spice aromas dominate. The entry is supple and the wine coats your palate with fleshy raspberry and currents to echo the nose. It's fresh and wonderfully drinkable, the finish trails mocha, tealeaf and fine spice, the chalky tannins add some chewiness.
