Savoury, strong, singular.
A tannic variety, classic to the south of France, this local version has been held back to allow it to mature and soften. It's a savoury wine, spicy and laden with muddled black fruits and bittersweet cocoa. Singular and balanced, but perhaps better in a blend rather than a single varietal bottling? It has strong tannic structure but the tannins are polished.
