Pleasing, slick, creamy.
This estate grown Stellenbosch Chenin Blanc was tank and barrel fermented and partially aged in French oak on lees for nine-months.
It has lovely yellow gold glints and suggests toasted spice and grilled quince, preserved lemon peel and honey then opens up in the glass with warm yellow apples. It's nicely weighted on the tongue with flavours to mimic the nose. Lovely weight and concentration, it has a slick texture and plenty of zest and spice on the finish; a wine with a lot going on.
