Perfumed, supple, oak. South Okanagan's Moon Curser specializes in a broad range of varieties, rarely seen in Canada, while Malbec is slightly more common, their version is generally more opulent.
Black raspberries and violets, sarsaparilla, cedar chips and pipe tobacco aromas make for a highly perfumed nose. The entry is supple and it's a flavourful as the nose suggests; vanilla, cola spices, wild purple berries and licorice flavours dominate. The finish is lengthy with grip and trails oak flavours.
Pair: roasted or grilled meats, hard cheeses, spaghetti Bolognese or hearty mushroom and herb risotto.
Pairs great with Gone Crackers Olive Oil & Cracked Pepper
