Opulent, velvety, generous.
Durif (aka Petite Sirah) is the name commonly used in Australia. Here, Caymus presents their version, which is grown in the valley neighbouring Napa, and is located 40 minutes southeast of the winery. Suisun (SU-Soon) is a small valley AVA, with only about a dozen wineries, which has been producing wine since the mid-1800s.
If you want a wine that is fruity AF and blatantly opulent, this is your wine.
Velvety notes of blueberry pie, melted chocolate and raspberry jam are layered with star anise, vanilla and cinnamon. Almost thick enough to stand a spoon up in, it's boldly flavoured with full-throttle purple fruit, pipe tobacco and chocolate.
This wine brings it.
