Elegant, fragrant, silky.
It's been almost decade since I've tried Burrowing Owl's Pinot Noir. The grapes were harvested from Oliver and Okanagan Falls and aged entirely in French oak barrel, 36% new. It's a perfumed Pinot suggesting raspberry and cherry cola, rainforest floor and leather, violets and tealeaf. The palate is clean, juicy, and silky in texture. Tangy red fruit, earth and spice flavours dominate. Elegant and refined.
Pair: Lamb, grilled portobello mushrooms, duck or beet risotto.
