Classic, statuesque, supple.
Purchased in 1927 by Louis Turtaut this family estate has continued to grow. For many years, Chateau Brondelle has become valued in the appellation, thanks to a complex and varied terroir. Chateau Brondelle is located in the best part of the Southern Graves' stony soils. Aged 12 months in French oak before bottling this 50/50 blend of Cabernet and Merlot offers crushed stone and plums, leather, crushed wild berries, salted licorice, graphite and mixed brown spices. Classically styled, it has a cigar-type character with cherry, licorice, plums and chocolate flavours. It's a statuesque wine with a supple weight and some chew from the tannins. Firm yet fresh, it offers great value from the region.
