This premium single vineyard Syrah comes from two clones each fermented separately, one co-fermented with 1% Viognier in concrete; all wild yeast fermented.
It is a gamey and savoury version with aromas of wild blackberries, cracked black pepper, bittersweet cocoa, wood spice and cedar. It has a fresh entry and a grape-y character, which leads to 90% dark cocoa and espresso, leather and spice culminating in tight oak flavours on the finish. It's angular right now and will benefit from a few years more in bottle.
