Located on the Golden Mile Bench, Culmina was established by the Triggs family (of Jackson-Triggs fame) in 2007 and was sold in 2019 to Arterra Wines Canada.
This 100% estate grown Malbec was grown in micro-lots in the Arise Vineyard and aged 16-months in mixed use French oak barrels.
Crushed purple flowers, carob, star anise and cola, black raspberries and vanilla aromas lead to a supple palate entry; flavours of peppery spices, dark chocolate and espresso, dried herbs and dark purple fruit dominate. Balanced, a muscular character and good concentration, this red is perfect for roasted mushrooms, hard cheeses, BBQ and hearty pastas.
