Fragrant, intense, friendly.
This very friendly old vine Garnacha is grown at 600m (2000ft) above sea level in Aragon in north-eastern Spain. It spent 3 months aging in oak before bottling.
A rich fragrant nose suggests raspberry, vanilla, espresso and pipe tobacco atop dried roses. The wine has good intensity and oodles of wild berry, chocolate, brown spices and tobacco flavours. Dusty tannins trail on the finish.
