Dry, buoyant, racy.
The depth of colour of Clos du Soleil's has dimmed in the last couple vintages but is once again made entirely of Malbec. A pale dusty pink it delivers delightful aromas of orange blossoms and cranberry, watermelon, cantaloupe and vague hints of tealeaf. Lively, almost spritzy, in the mouth it provides tangy red berries and orange peel flavours. Bone dry and racy, slick and superbly structured; once again it's an outstanding bottle in the rose category.
Pair: Picnic fare, spicy dishes, grilled sausage, cheese and tapas platters, among so much more.
