Tangy, dry, juicy.
The original member of the Kamloops Wine Trail, Harper's Trail has been doing delicious things with estate Riesling and Pinot Noir (among others) grown on the southern banks of the Thompson River for more than a decade. The 2020 vintage is is made by the estate's new winemaker Sebastien Hotte.
Again, a blend of Pinot Gris and Cab Franc sporting a pale onionskin shade, the 2020 has strong herbal notes woven with sour cherry, small wild berries, rhubarb, honey and pine resin. It's a juicy pink made in a drier style and tastes like it smells, Tangy and tart it has a lean palate and citrus peel finish. Pair::charcuterie, fresh grilled salmon, creamy cheeses or pizza.
