Ripe, oaky, concentrated.
A blend of Rhone varieties Roussanne (82%) with Marsanne (18%), this southern France blend was co-fermented and lees stirred, went through partial malolactic fermentation and a portion (20%) was aged four months French oak with lees stirring.
Expect notes of buttered corn and peaches in honey, applesauce and pine, yellow flowers, toasted spice and fresh mountain stream. The palate is spicy and rich, concentrated and spicy with a slick texture. Yellow apples and stone fruits are expressed on the palate; the finish is quite oaky with a bitter pithy linger.
