Luxurious, generous, creamy.
The close-knit Taittinger family has managed this Champagne House for nearly a century, always with the pursuit of excellence. Pierre Emmanuel Taittinger shares the company with his son Clovis and daughter Vitalie.
Maison Taittinger is located right in Reims.
The Brut Reserve, a classic and the most recognized of the brand (85% of their 7 million bottles is this wine) is a blend of 40% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir and the remainder, Pinot Meunier. The grapes are sourced from 36 vineyards in Champagne, half estate and it spent a minimum of three years on lees with a 6g/L dosage.
It is a luxurious fizz with a rich colour and persistent bead, which offers lemon brioche, toasted nuts, baked apples and tangy summer berries. Great structure and style overall with a generous mousse, lively acidity and warm toastiness to give it weight and depth. Silky and creamy with a wonderful lively and lengthy grapefruity finish.
