The Border Vineyard is on the Osoyoos West Bench and is planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.
The wines are made by Pascal Madevon--formerly of Osoyoos Larose.
This is the inaugural release of Upper Case wines.
This beautifully packaged pink made from Merlot comes from the Osoyoos West Bench very close to the US border. It was fermented and aged entirely in stainless and is bone dry. Notes of citrus blossoms and summer berries, red cherries and charred orange peel are underscored by fleur de sel and wild herbs. It has notable structure and is a dry style with bitter orange, marzipan and cedar flavours. Good bones and balance.
