Here's an excellent version of Marlborough Pinot Noir, which is both complex and pleasing. It is fresh with distinct umami tones; layers of cherry and spice and woven with dried roses and fresh herbs, pepper and forest floor. It is silky overall, but there is some textural grip. It shows the power of the Southern Valleys' clay soils with its notable structure. Very good.
