Being a historic edition this ruby-brick Port is housed in a flat chestnut or bladder shaped bottle that were manufactured in England around about 1715-1740, and like this bottle, held one litre of wine.
The blend was pulled together from a selection of TF's extensive aged Tawny Port stocks and was aged in seasoned Port pipes (larger and longer than barriques).
Lively strawberry jam and cherry aromas are layered with dried orange peel, buttered nuts and pipe tobacco. Expressive red fruit lines the palate along with Christmas cake and cedar. Nice levity here with a elongated finish.
