Savoury, spicy, fresh.
Made from nearly 50 year-old vines planted in 1978 on the Quails' Gate estate vineyard located in Osoyoos. The grapes were fermented in stainless and 20% of the wine was aged in American oak.
Expect charred cherries and wild black berries, bacon fat and molasses, grilled herbs, brown spices, black chocolate and espresso aromas. The entry leads with sweet wild berry flavours layered with coffee and tobacco. It's spicy and savoury and has notable freshness and good length.
A wine for sturdy dishes such as game, wild mushroom pasta, braised lamb and lentils
