Located in Kamloops (not usually associated with vineyards) the Harper's Trail is blazing new ground with the assistance of the Okanagan Crush Pad winery in Summerland.
It's name is derived from the cattle drive tail of one pioneer rancher, Thaddeus Harper.
This rose is fun and fresh and smells of strawberries, fine spice, tangerine peel and wild berries with fant floral and cedary notes. The palate is sweet and juicy, but nicely balanced with acidity. The finish trails blood orange, spice and wild summer berries.
Gamay, Pinot Noir and Merlot.
Suggested pairings, salty charcuterie, fresh oysters and tangy, creamy cheeses.
