Classic, fresh, quaffable.
With a big rebranding thanks to the uber-popularity of rose wines globally, Mateus (pronounced mat-ee-us) has schmancied up their label and stretched their classic cantil bottle shape for the first time in 75 years. Several years ago, the shook up brand somewhat by moving to a clear bottle from the classic green, which really showed off the bright salmon-pink hue. Now they've taken it a step further, yet the bouncy, fruity, spritzy, and not cloying, stalwart juice remains. At under $10 a bottle in our market, and low alcohol (11%) it's a pretty solid deal.
