Like the Clos du Soleil 'Capella', the 'Signature is made by winemaker Ann Sperling. Made mostly of Merlot with 26% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cabernet Franc and 9% Malbec, it is aged in one-half new French and American Oak.
Aromas of black fruit, smoke and char, roasted bell peppers and dried herbs with licorice and peppery spices. Good concentration on the palate - sweet, juicy fruit is layered with toasted oak and cigarbox flavours. A nicely constructed wine with good balance.
